Base44 pricing in 2026: plans, credits and what each one unlocks

As of September 2026, Base44 costs $0 on the Free plan, then $16, $40, $80 or $160 a month for Starter, Builder, Pro and Elite when billed annually. Yearly billing saves 20%, so paying month to month costs roughly $20, $50, $100 or $200. Each plan comes with a monthly allowance of message credits (for building with AI) and integration credits (for your app’s use of built-in services). The price is the easy part. The real question is which plan unlocks the features you need.

What each plan unlocks#

The plan highlights on the pricing page, combined with the plan requirements scattered through Base44’s docs:

What you actually pay for#

Message credits pay for the AI building and changing your app. A simple text change is about half a credit and an app-wide change is 3 to 4. The first build of a new app is about 1 credit, whatever the prompt. Previewing and manual edits are free.

Integration credits pay for your live app’s use of Base44’s services: roughly 1 credit per email, notification, upload or file extraction, 1 per automation run, and variable amounts for AI calls. Calls to external services with your own keys don’t use them.

Both kinds reset monthly on your billing date and don’t roll over. On Free, you can use at most 5 message credits a day.

Discounts and ways to pay less#

• Annual billing saves 20%.
• Education and non-profit pricing is available case by case: sign up with a student email or contact support.
• Referral credits: Builder and higher plans include 25 credits to share with a friend, and Base44 runs an affiliate program.

Other costs to budget for#

• A domain: Builder and higher include one free for the first year; on Starter you bring your own.
• Payment processing: Stripe’s fees, or Wix Payments’ fees with Base44 Payments.
• External services you connect, such as Resend, Zapier’s paid plans (needed for webhooks) or an AI API.
• Apple and Google developer accounts if you publish mobile apps.

Upgrading, downgrading and cancelling#

Base44’s pricing FAQ says you can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time. How added credits apply when you upgrade mid-cycle varies, and Base44 shows you the changes before you confirm. Base44 doesn’t refund credits used on AI actions.

1. List the features your app needs and find the lowest plan in the second table that covers them.
2. Estimate monthly emails, AI calls and automation runs against that plan’s integration credits.
